Building the Relationships that Matter Most

There’s truth in the old saying, “It takes a village to raise a family.”

Parents And Children Together aims to be that village, offering a strong foundation from which children and their families can create their own positive opportunities in life.

For 50 years, Parents And Children Together has worked hand in hand with local families in need. From its early beginnings as the Parent Child Center of Kalihi, Parents And Children Together has since grown to offer a broad range of programs that serve 15,000 children, individuals and families statewide every year. Headquartered in Kalihi, the nonprofit provides essential social services and support that help families and individuals build brighter and more promising futures.

It all starts with early childhood education. Parents And Children Together operates federally funded Head Start and Early Head Start programs for children and their parents and guardians to learn and grow together. Early childhood education and positive development sets young families up for future success.

For those struggling from the effects of poverty and family violence, Parents And Children Together offers domestic violence and child abuse prevention, behavioral health and community building programs. These critical resources offer safety and support and strengthen our communities.

All in all, Parents And Children Together runs 18 programs in five core areas of focus, each one designed to build and strengthen the relationships that matter most in a person’s life. The organization is 400 employees strong, serving communities on Oahu, Kauai, Maui, Lanai, Molokai and Hawaii Island.

As Parents And Children Together celebrates its 50th anniversary, consider making an investment in the future of Hawaii.
