Keiki Day 2020

Parents And Children Together along with The Honolulu Star Advertiser, Garden Island Newspaper, West Hawaii Today and the Hawaii Tribune Herald, is happy to once again sponsor Keiki Day, our annual statewide community involvement event on Thursday, May 7, 2020!

Students are encouraged to submit original stories, poems, essays or artwork for the Keiki Day Creativity Contest. Entries must relate to this year’s theme, INSPIRE A BETTER HAWAII” and submitted by Friday, April 10, 2020 by 4:30pm. Winners (26 on Oahu, 6 on Kauai, and 6 on Hawaii) will have their work published (including the school and teacher’s name) in the special Keiki Day edition for everyone to enjoy on Thursday, May 7, 2020. Each winner will also receive over $100.00 in cash and prizes.

Click Here To SPONSOR Keiki Day! As you know, newspapers can be valuable educational tools. Parents And Children Together is working to attract many sponsorships to make copies of the Keiki Day edition available to every student in Hawaii, at no cost to their schools — a great addition to the day’s curriculum!

Be a Keiki Day Volunteer! Last year, more than 1,200 volunteers hit the streets throughout Hawaii to help sell this special edition and raise funds for Parents And Children Together’s 18 programs in the areas of: Early Childhood Education, Domestic Violence Prevention & Intervention, Child Abuse & Neglect Prevention & Treatment, Behavioral Health Support, and Community Building & Economic Development. JOIN US on Thursday, May 7, 2020, with local celebrities and volunteers, as they hit the streets to sell a special Keiki Day edition of The Honolulu Star Advertiser on Oahu & Maui, the Hawaii Tribune Herald and West Hawaii Today on Hawaii, and The Garden Island on Kauai for $1.00!
