LEHUA TRANSITION HOUSE

After the devastation of a lava flow, the Ohia Lehua is one of the first flora that appears. The Lehua blossom is the flower that blooms from the Ohia plant. Although the Ohia Lehua blossom is delicate, it is also hardy and can survive the harshest climates.

Harry & Jeanette Weinberg Lehua Transition House on Oahu is a non-violent, safe and nurturing facility that offers 12-month residency to women without children who have been successfully discharged from a domestic violence shelter or are referred by a partner agency. Lehua Transition House assists survivors who have left a domestic violence relationship and are working toward self-sufficiency, including safe permanent housing.
